01Driver eligibility
- Drivers must be at least 23 years old with a minimum of two years of continuous driving experience.
- A driving licence valid in Kenya for the full rental period is required, together with a national ID or passport.
- Front and back images of the licence and ID (or a passport page) must be uploaded during booking and the originals shown at handover.
- Only the hirer and any additional driver named in the signed agreement may drive the vehicle.
02Bookings, rates and payment
- Rentals under 7 days are charged at the daily rate. Rentals of 7–29 days receive 10% off, and rentals of 30 days or more receive 15% off.
- A booking is held for 30 minutes while the agreement is signed and payment is completed. Unpaid holds are released automatically.
- A booking is confirmed only once the rental agreement is signed and full payment is received.
- The rate and total shown in the signed agreement are fixed once payment is completed.
03Changes and cancellations
- Date or vehicle changes are subject to availability and may change the total price.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before pickup are refunded in full, less any payment processing fees.
- Cancellations within 48 hours of pickup, and no-shows, may be charged up to one day's rental.
- Early returns are not refunded for unused days unless agreed in writing by PulseDrive.
04Use of the vehicle
- The vehicle may only be driven within Kenya unless PulseDrive gives written approval for cross-border travel.
- Racing, towing, off-road driving, carrying passengers for hire, sub-hiring and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs are prohibited.
- Smoking inside the vehicle is not allowed; a cleaning charge applies where evidence of smoking is found.
- The vehicle must be locked and parked securely whenever unattended.
05Fuel, pickup and return
- Vehicles are supplied with a recorded fuel level and must be returned at the same level. Shortfalls are charged at the pump price plus a refuelling fee.
- The vehicle condition is recorded at pickup and checked again at return, allowing for fair wear and tear.
- Late returns are charged at the daily rate for each additional day started, unless an extension has been agreed.
- Delivery and collection locations are confirmed in advance; please provide accurate landmarks, plot or gate details.
06Insurance and liability
- Vehicles carry comprehensive insurance covering named drivers during the agreed rental period.
- The hirer is liable for the insurance excess on any claim, and for the full loss where cover is voided.
- Cover is voided by unauthorised drivers, prohibited use, driving under the influence, or use outside the agreed territory.
- Damage to tyres, windscreen, undercarriage and interior may be charged separately. Personal belongings are not insured by PulseDrive.
07Accidents, theft and breakdowns
- Any accident, theft or damage must be reported to PulseDrive and to the police within 24 hours, and a police abstract obtained.
- Warning lights, unusual noises or mechanical faults must be reported before continuing the journey.
- Do not authorise repairs without PulseDrive's approval. We will arrange assistance or a replacement where possible.
08Fines, tolls and penalties
- Traffic fines, parking penalties, speed-camera charges and tolls incurred during the rental are the hirer's responsibility.
- PulseDrive may share hirer details with the authorities where required by law, and may recover any fines paid on the hirer's behalf plus an administration fee.
09Governing law
- These terms form part of the signed rental agreement. Where the agreement and these terms differ, the signed agreement applies.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
